Jeff Braun was born on July 24, 1984 in San Pedro Sula, Honduras and adopted by William and Meredith Braun when he was six months old. Like many children in Honduras, Jeff would have had little hope for his future if not for the love of those who took him in.

Jeff grew up as an average "all-American" boy. He participated in a wide variety of sports and activities and seemed to excel in everything he did. He had a wonderful relationship with his family, including his sister, Julie, who was also adopted. The two of them were very close and supportive of one another.

After high School Jeff joined the Armed Forces to serve his country and prepare for college. While in military training, Jeff received numerous honors and awards  and when stationed in Iraq. Even while serving our country on the battlefield of Iraq, Jeff never let his dreams slip away.

From Iraq, via e-mail, he began to communicate with Hope International Ministries in order to assist their endeavors of building, "Hope For Honduras Children's Home." Unfortunately, Jeff never had the opportunity to see his dream come to pass as Jeff's life was lost on December 12, 2003 fighting for the freedom of others.

Jeff's dream continues...

Through the establishment of the "Jeff Braun Children's Home Foundation," Jeff's dream can still come to pass. His passion was to someday begin a children's home in Honduras so that he could offer to other children some of the same basic opportunities that he had been given.

Food, clothing, shelter, and faith in God were the key elements that he wanted to offer to those needy children.

Although only a piece of ground on the north coast of Honduras at this time, it will soon take shape as an orphanage and school.

We ask for your help soon so that we can begin to reach out to these children that have nowhere to go. At this time enough funding has been received to purchase property. The next need will be electric, water, and land development.
