Project Summary
Founded in 1968, Hope Children's Home has rescued nearly
5,000 children between the ages of 2 and 18. Most of these
children have been discarded, abused, unwanted, or orphaned.
Some of them have faced life situations that left them a little
off track. Our purpose at Hope Children's Home is to share
Christ with the children and mold them into Biblically educated
members of our future society.
The need to take care of more, especially younger, children
has increased dramatically. We have had a vision of
creating a smaller, more intimate family setting for our
children for many years. Finally, our prayers have been
answered. Thanks to generous donors, we have the financial
support to initiate the Cottages of Hope. These cottages
will be nestled within the beautiful natural setting of our 55
acre campus and will be the future of our ability to care for
younger children and provide a loving family setting.
The plan is to develop four cottages in a small village with
a playground/park area in the center. Each cottage will
provide living space for house parents and up to 12 children.
The two key factors for this project are:
- The ability to keep siblings together in a family
setting allowing the children to develop in a normal family
environment that teaches them life skills, interpersonal
relationships, responsibility, and Christian values.
- To expand our ability to accept younger children into
the home (ages infant to 8 years old) and provide a safe,
loving, and nurturing environment for them.
Within the current boys and girls dormitory
environment, these factors are nearly impossible to provide.
